The iClever Tri-folding Wireless Keyboard
With a touchpad is a seriously handy tool.
If you would like to have a portable nearly full-sized keyboard the iClever is what you are looking for.
For years many people have worked from their mobile devices even to the long tedious job of tying out long reports on a small keypad. I heard of a person who wrote an entire novel on her smartphone comprised of 60,000 words.
If I attempted to do something like that, I would probably die before I finished the 1st chapter. Because my dexterity on a small keypad is definitely limited. That is why I am excited about the iClever keyboard. I have tried the Logitech K480 and other comparables. But they have not been as portable as the iClever is.
The Chinese company that produces the iClever also makes low-cost accessories for mobile devices such as chargers, speakers, headphones, etc. However their iClever tri-folding keyboard isn’t much bigger than a Nexus 6, when folded. When opened it becomes a full keyboard with a touchpad that makes it much easier to work on the road. I tried their 1st model and was very happy with it. Then they came out with a new one that had a touchpad and I liked it even more. You can purchase it online at several places and at Amazon for about $60. The keyboard can be connect with up to three devices, via bluetooth and easily be switch between devices. It is also compatible with IOS and Android, Windows, Mac, Linux, Blackberry, Playstation, WebOS, and Sybian. Although it is not quite a full sized keyboard it’s almost there and it make it easier than using a small keypad, it’s almost like sitting at you desktop and at $60 it’s a deal.
The iClever keyboard with touchpad is the most portable on the market. It also works extremely well. When folded it fits in your pocket or purse, etc. For anyone who wants to travel with a single device, this is your best bet. Unfold it, connect it, use it, fold it and stash it when finished.
It has a built in battery that lasts a long time and can be recharged via a Micro USB. I was able to get a weeks of on the go usage before I had to recharge (but we’re not talking 8 hours a day).
The keyboard also comes with tiny fold-out bumpers that stabilize the edges of the device . I highly recommend folding these out so to not put undue stress on the keyboard hinges.
Remember this is not quite a full size keyboard, so you do have to make some allowances for that.
There are also something’s in the key layout and functionality. You will find that some of the key aren’t where you would normally find them particular, the ‘ and ” characters are made with the function key in conjunction with the L (for the ‘) or the :/; (for the “) keys. But it’s something you can get use to.
This device is mostly keyboard there is no wasted space. This does mean that you will probably will be making a lot of mistakes while getting use to it, but practice makes perfect.
The keyboard is 11″ by 3.5″ unfolded and 6.25″ by 3.5” when folded.
As far as portable keyboards are concerned, you going have a hard time finding a near full-sized device that folds up to fit in your pocket and serves as well as this. The iClever tri-fold keyboard with touchpad does a masterful job of removing the tedium from working on the go. Type with far more efficiency and accuracy on a keyboard only slightly larger than your smartphone. That, my friends, is an office on the go.
